Scott directs the development of communications programs that help companies leverage their reputational capital as a means of driving brand distinction. His specialized areas of focus include business strategy, branding, positioning, C-suite counsel, and high-level media relations.
Prior to Water & Wall, Scott was a Principal and Senior Managing Director at Middleberg Communications, where he headed the Financial & Corporate Practices Group. In 2006, Middleberg Communications merged with TowersGroup, a financial and corporate public relations firm, where Scott was a Principal and head of the media practice.
Previously, Scott was a Vice President at Morgen-Walke Associates, where he developed and executed communications strategies for financial clients in the firm’s Corporate Communications Group. His 25 years of experience includes running his own public relations firm, The Brann-Hill Group, as well as positions with Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and Hill & Knowlton, Inc.
During his public relations career, Scott has helped shape the image of many of the largest financial and corporate brands, among them Stadion Money Management, Snow Capital, Merrill Lynch, Barclays Wealth, Lehman Brothers, Neuberger Berman, GoldenTree Asset Management, Crosslink Capital, Putnam Investments, Lazard Capital Markets, New York Life, GTIS Partners, Deloitte & Touche, AIM Funds Board of Trustees, and SEI Investments, among many others.
In addition, Scott has counseled Fortune 500 companies and foreign governments on a range of complex communications issues.
Scott is a frequent speaker and panelist on communications topics, and he sits on the boards of several start-up companies. He’s a graduate of the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
